Brownfield remediation for major mixed use development in central Bristol

4th December 2018

At the start of September, UK Remediation commenced an onsite remediation project at the former Brooks Dye Works, a 19th Century industrial site in St Werburghs featuring the historic landmark chimney. Working in partnership with Bath Demolition, UK Remediation is undertaking works for Acorn Property Group to address buried infrastructure and contamination issues, including underground fuel storage tanks, hydrocarbons and asbestos remediation. Following the completion of remedial works, over 100 new homes including affordable housing are to be built on the site and a large area of public open space is to be created, extending the existing Mina Park.
